I am so excited to share these pieces with you! I wanted to create a Canadian brand that was a product of everything I love and want from a fashion line - ethical, conscious, quality pieces that grow and change with the seasons.
Slate Wearables was started as a project in my final year of fashion school. After doing extensive research on how to build a sustainable clothing company, I knew it was the route I needed to go and that fashion as a whole would need to evolve to be for the environment and for the people. At Slate, we are committed to working with local suppliers and skilled artisans, using natural fibres, and shipping with conscious packaging to incorporate conscious practices into the core brand ethos.
